Esta semana va a ser la semana de autoevaluación. Para ello necesito que diligencien la siguiente tabla, valorando cada criterio con una nota de 1 a 5.

Una vez hecho esto, saquen el promedio de todas las notas y colocan ese promedio en la casilla de NOTA DEFINITIVA.

Recuerden que si no envían su autoevaluación, esta valoración queda a mi criterio, en dado caso, yo mismo les colocaría esa nota. Esto es así, porque esta no es una casilla que se pueda dejar en blanco.

Por favor enviar esta valoración antes del Viernes 3 de Julio.

La actividad de esta semana va a ser la última de este período, al parecer, por lo cual 
vamos a ver el último tema y cerrar con un producto final.

El último tema va a ser SIMPLE FUTURE

Para expresar cosas en futuro en inglés, se utilizan las expresiones "will" y "going to". Vamos a centrarnos no más en el uso de WILL.

Will quiere decir algo así como "voy a" o "va a", cuando uno, por ejemplo en una frase dice "voy a ir a Cartagena de vacaciones". Aparte de eso, WILL es como un señor que nunca puede estar solo, siempre necesita de alguien que le ayude a expresarse, siempre necesita un VERBO que lo acompañe.

[will + VERB]

Examples:

• You will help him later.                                      Tú lo vas a ayudar luego.
• Will you help him later?                                     ¿Lo vas a ayudar luego?
• You will not help him later                                Tú no lo vas a ayudar luego.

No es mucho más lo que hay que conocer en inglés para el futuro. Existe otra forma para hablar en futuro que es utilizando la expresión "going to" pero es un poco más compleja, y no la voy a poder explicar en tres días. Veamos por ahora el uso de Will, y luego veremos la de Going to.

Con lo anterior en mente, quiero que cojan el plan de vida que hemos venido trabajando desde principios de año, y lo pasen a futuro simple. ¿Cómo se hace eso? Así:

En ese plan de vida ustedes tienen frases de la forma 

IF - (conditional clause) - then - (main clause).

Quiero que le quiten a todas esas frases la IF CLAUSE, y dejen solamente la MAIN CLAUSE, que debe estar en futuro. De esta forma ese plan de vida se va a volver un texto en el que ustedes no digan que van a conseguir sus sueños si cumplen ciertas cosas, sino en el que digan que van a conseguir esta cosa o aquella otra cosa y punto. Lo van a hacer bien bonito, para pegarlo en la pared de su cuarto y que nunca se les olvide. Le toman una foto y me lo mandan al correo.

Van a empezar ese nuevo texto así: 

In the future, I will...

Como esa es una labor algo mecánica, aparte de escribir su plan de vida en futuro, quiero que TAMBIÉN respondan las siguientes preguntas en su cuaderno utilizando WILL:

*How do you think technology will help to mitigate the COVID-19 epidemic?

*What other things apart from technology will help us with the virus?

Vamos a terminar la semana ofreciendo de nuevo la oferta de Duolingo de la semana pasada. Por cada 300 EXP que usted haga, obtiene un 5.0 para las notas que le falten de las semanas 11-14.

Para el segundo período vamos a ver la temática de tecnología, aprenderemos vocabulario sobre electrodomésticos y equipos tecnológicos. Recuerden que lo que nos interesa es comunicarnos en inglés, por lo cual, para lograr hablar sobre la tecnología, vamos a aprender a utilizar el futuro simple, verbos compuestos (de dos palabras), entre otras cosas.

1. Empecemos, pues, con este ejercicio de la British Council.

Para realizarlo, primero da click en Instructions, y lee las instrucciones.

Luego, continúa con el segundo y tercer punto que están justo después de la primera actividad:

Cuando termines cada actividad, tómale una foto o pantallazo a tu resultado y envíalo CON TU NOMBRE al correo jgonzalez@unal.edu.co, junto con la respuesta a la pregunta que está debajo del subtítulo Discussion: Which of the things in the vocabulary do you use the most?

2. Durante la semana, vas a hacer 200XP en Duolingo. Las instrucciones para ingresar están aquí (si ya creaste un usuario previamente no es necesario volverlo a hacer). Va a ser sencillo, los que completen los 200XP tendrán 5.0, los que no lo completen Y NO PRESENTEN EXCUSA VÁLIDA, 1.0.

Tienes hasta el 8 de mayo a media noche para completar el puntaje de Duolingo y enviar las actividades al correo. No es necesario enviar evidencia del puntaje de Duolingo, desde que te hayas vinculado con tu salón de manera correcta, yo podré ver tu puntaje automáticamente.
